AlBaraka Symposium
One of the most important and famous tracks of AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, AlBaraka Symposium which was established in 1981, in an extended process of giving to serve the knowledge structure of the Islamic economy.
The well-known businessman Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel (1941-2020), may Allah have mercy on him, founded AlBaraka Symposium, planted its seed, and ensured that it was watered and cared for by himself – for forty years. As one of the most important pioneers of Islamic economics.
AlBaraka Symposium for Islamic Economy began its activity as a Shari’ah-based and economic forum, as it represents the cornerstone in the development of Islamic economic work in terms of both the Fiqh and technical aspects.
Where certain emerging economic issues, or those with an economic dimension, are presented for discussion, and those issues are reviewed from a legal and technical perspective by a group of renowned senior scholars and jurists at the Islamic and international levels with the participation of experts in the fields finance, business, economics and Islamic finance, The goal of these discussions is to arrive at fatwas and recommendations that enrich Islamic economic work, despite its diverse fields, and offer practical solutions to the problems it faces.
